Just a week back in June 2015 I visited Singapore. When I landed I noticed that there was traffic on road but something was weird.. after couple of moments I realized, no one is honking. Everything seemed so peaceful and orderly. People were driving in lanes, crossing roads only during green signal, no honking if the car ahead of it brakes. I suddenly started comparing it with Indian traffic system. 

It can be clearly deciphered that all we lack is discipline. This discipline can be brought by three ways:

1. Imposing checks and measures to curb indiscipline. 

2. Changing the habit of people. Even if for 2 months we ban the horns in vehicles across India people will get accustomed to it. And I am quite sure horns are not needed in vehicle if a person has patience. 

3. Follow lane discipline. If drivers stop cutting the lanes without sidelights and drive between two lanes there wont be any need to honk.

These measures will also reduce the number of accidents taking place. Expecting immediate action of Indian Traffic Police with the support of Govt. of India. I am confident that this minimal measures will change the way people drive in India.
