The community of Pine Ridge has seen a marked increase in traffic because of ongoing development in Citrus Springs as well as  within Pine Ridge and commercial development in Lecanto.  Citrus County has failed to address these traffic issues.  Many commuters cut through Pine Ridge from Citrus Springs to avoid the congestion in Lecanto.   We are requesting a reduction in the speed limit to 30 mph Throughout PR, as this is a residential area and it should be consistent with other residential areas in the county.  We are also requesting an increase in the stop signs on Pine Ridge Blvd, Elkcam Blvd and Mustang Blvd.  We understand that the increased traffic is due to increased development within Pine Ridge, but Citrus Springs should not be using Pine Ridge as a cut through to Lecanto or Crystal River.   We are asking for the help from our county commissioners in addressing as many ways as possible to limit traffic through our community.  Residents on Pine Ridge Blvd, Elkcam Blvd and Mustang Blvd have seen a marked decrease in our property values in recent months because of all the traffic.
