Since Acme dropped their purchase of the A&P in Millwood, this supermarket space is now going to be auctioned. We would love to see a Trader Joe's there. It's the perfect location, just off the TSP, at the intersection of two busy state roadways, Routes 100 and 133 and easily reached by so many neighboring towns... Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Millwood, Chappaqua, Pleasantville, Yorktown, Mt Kisco, Bedford, Armonk, Somers, and Katonah to name a few. Residents from these areas are filling the newly created Facebook page "We Want a Trader Joe's in Millwood" which has attracted more than 500 members in less than 24 hours, and is still growing. 

As one New Castle resident stated, "Drug Mart is a great neighbor tenant. They have been named in the Best of Westchester ranking through the years. This is no schlock strip mall! Dodds Liquor City is great too, as is Tazza Cafe. And the bankers at Chase are terrific. Check out your prospective neighbors. They are high quality and stable businesses with robust clientele. And the legendary Rocky's Deli is across the street! People from all over come to Millwood for these great places. They aren't just for locals. The draw is there." A resident of Ossining added, "As a member of the Ossining community, my family and I would love a TJ near by. The Hartsdale location, albeit delicious, is far, small and often over crowded. Please let the Northern Westchester community have their own TJ!"
