Trader Joe’s: we do NOT believe that your packaging is "racist"!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!

In her petition "Trader Joe’s: Remove Racist Packaging From Your Products", Briones Bedell is asserting that Trader Joe's choice of branding for some of its products is "racist", going as far as claiming that the founding of Trader Joe's is itself rooted in "racism".

Many individuals of Italian, Mexican, Asian, and other extractions (the author of this counter-petition included) who should supposedly be the victims of, and offended by, the "racial stereotypes" "perpetuated" by Trader Joe's on its packaging (according to Briones) have actually commented on Briones' tweet, retweets, as well as on the various press coverage that her petition has attracted that, on the contrary, they are NOT at all offended and, in some cases, support Trader Joe's choice of branding and/or labeling.

Please sign this counter-petition if you disagree with Briones' (and her co-signers') narrow-minded take on the matter, and to let Trader Joe's know that Brione's views do not represent all their customers.

If unsure (but also if you are already considering signing or have already signed this counter-petition), you may want to take a few minutes to read Nassim Nicholas Taleb's "The Most Intolerant Wins: The Dictatorship of the Small Minority".

Thank you!
