Every year more than 115 million animals are tested on each year. The most popular ones are cosmetic testing although there are many others. I started a petition to bring an end to this.

Testing on innocent animals exposed them to toxic chemicals or diseases that can severely weaken their health. Not only are they tested but they also are killed. They may be forced to inhale toxic fumes or immobilized. Some of their bones are crushed and skin becomes burnt.

There are many reasons why people test on animals. It could be for a product to sell, medical reasons, scientific reasons but these actions cause serious harm to the animals and the environment. When the animals die their bodies and waste and other parts are incinerated which gives off gasses and particles which go in the air we breathe.

Not only is animal testing wrong but is also ineffective. Many animal don’t get the diseases humans do such as heart disease and HIV and many types of cancers. In laboratories they give the animals artificial symptoms to mimic human ones. 90% of drugs fail on the human stage even though they passed the animals testing. Success rates in drugs after animals testing are low and still cause harm and even death to the animal.

In conclusion, animal testing is wrong in many ways and needs to be stopped.
