During this pandemic, Tracy Unified School District and Banta Elementary School District have really stepped up to help out students in need of meals. For some students, these school provided meals are the only sustenance they will receive for the entire day. However, they have recently sent out an email stating:

TUSD: "Meals will still be available at select locations, at no charge, for children ages 2-18 years of age as well as students in the Young Adult Program through April 9th. Please check the Tracy Unified School District website or contact your school regarding meal pick-up times and locations. As has been past practice, there will be no meals served during Spring Break (April 10- April 17)."

BESD: "We will not be serving meals during spring break April 10th to the 17th."

These are tough times for families all around with parents, whose sole income provided for their families, being laid off all over the city.

In years previous, the program had suspended during spring break, but in light of these unprecedented times, these children are in need of these vital meals, as well as any sense of normalcy, now more than ever. 

I am asking Tracy Unified School District and Banta Elementary School District to continue to supply breakfast and lunch meals to students during spring break.
