Several postings with students from Bolsa Grande High School openly degrading and abusing the Asian community of the school, have recently made the Bolsa Grande High School famous on the internet, for all the wrong reasons.

In the first video, the students are seen shouting and making fun of the students, who are of Asian descent during a showcase of their culture, by saying : "Coronavirus."

In the second video, one of the students is seen jumping up and down with a traditional Vietnamese hat, as if to mock the culture of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people, and then proceeds to throw it on the floor in front of the Vietnamese student who gave to her, as if her culture was nothing more to the student, than a piece of garbage.

In the third video, the students are again seen, going up to an Asian student wearing a facemask, and proceeds to make her feel uneasy and uncomfortable, before proceeding to shove her face by pushing her mouth, and then laughing and mocking at the Asian student, with a mocking "Asian accent".

This behaviour reflects poorly on the morals and principles of the Bolsa Grande High School. It would be such a shame for the Bolsa Grande High School to receive such a bad reputation and publicity, because of the actions of unruly students.

The students from the Asian community, who comprise 72% of the student population of the school, have been shown to be abused, humiliated and insulted in a series of videos from the students, and will unfortunately, not feel safe and happy that such students would be allowed continue to be apart of the progressive and multi-racial Bolsa Grande High School and the Garden Grove Unified School District.

These students present a poor representation of the otherwise progressive, multi-racial and harmonious learning environment at Bolsa Grande High School and the Garden Grove Unified School District, and therefore, it would be shame if they were to continue to allow such students to tarnish the high reputation of the school. The Asian community of the Bolsa Grande High School and the Garden Grove Unified School District, calls on the school to uphold it's promise to provide a safe and supported environment for the students to study in.

Please help bring justice to the students and community who were targetted and affected by signing this petition calling on the principal and assistant principals of the school;
Tracy Conway ( email: tconway@ggusd.us )
Eric Padget ( email: epadget@ggusd.us )
Linda Giuliani ( email: lgiulian@ggusd.us )
Loan Wu ( email: lwu@ggusd.us )

to remove and expel the students involved in this unpleasant incident. It would be a shame for the school to not take action, seeing as the pain and upset it has caused the Asian community of Bolsa Grande High School and the Garden Grove Unified School District, which make up 72% of the school body.

A recent message from one of the girls to the moderator who posted it on Facebook revealed that "she thought it was funny."

How confusing it is, that the student believes that by belittling and abusing students of an Asian origin, that it would be considered as something "funny"? Hopefully Bolsa Grande High School and the Garden Grove Unified School District, do not share the same belief as this small group of students.
