Wheelie Bins For South Holland District Council Area

Wheelie Bins For South Holland District Council Area
The Issue
We are the only district in Lincolnshire to not have wheelie bins. Wheelie bins were first used in 1986 and we are behind the times. Wheelie bins are more hygienic and more beneficial within the community/neighbourhood. Having wheelie bins will stop cats and vermin from raiding the rubbish bags and therefore making the neighbourhood a cleaner and healthier environment. It also gives residents a chance to cut back on the cost of black bags, green bags and also time spent going to refuse centres with green waste. Our council tax is only slightly lower than neighbouring districts and councils and we believe that the increase, which maybe incurred by having wheelie bins would be saved by the amount not spent on refuse bags and trips to the nearby tips. Also having a proper environmentally friendly wheelie bin will help South Holland in recycling all refuse.
