The Issue
Problem
29 States, 7 Union territories all independently issuing driving licences. No National database. Over 12000 deaths a month. If a Killer drivers licence is withdrawn they get one from another State. India exports IT experts, why can't Govt set up a DL database that all RTO's can access. It will keep criminals off the road, make renewal of licences easier, help insurance companies and have no need for NOCs.
Solution
One central computer that can be accessed by all States in India. It will be a tremendous service & relief to public.

I own STREETWISE driving school in Hyderabad. Public regularly suffer with DL renewals, NOCs, for registration & have to run pillar to post at RTO wasting time and money. It is possible to streamline and give the public a better service.
