Demanding toys for tots to help out with Hanukkah presents
The Issue
The Marine Toys for Tots program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. That help put smiles on children's faces but what about the Jewish community? a simple gift of a new toy can make a tremendous difference in the life of a child, no matter if they celebrate Christmas or not. Toys for Tots has only one target audience which is people who celebrate Christmas. And it leaves out the people who don’t celebrate Christmas. So is question why don’t they have a program for people who celebrate Hanukkah?
Toys for Tots team works very hard to make the campaign a success, but It would be even more nicer if they spread the love to people who celebrate Hanukkah, like me. Because not everybody celebrates Christmas and everybody deserves a little gift no matter if it’s on Christmas or Hanukkah. To make this the most successful year ever!!! It would show a great deal of love and respect if Toys for Tots didn’t only help put smiles on children’s faces that celebrate Christmas.
Not only people who celebrate Christmas are struggling to give their kids gifts for the holidays . And by helping people who celebrate Hanukkah would put more smiles on peoples faces. Programs like this should always show that they accept people regardless of what they celebrate. Everybody deserves help especially when they’re struggling.
