Few chemical companies from Taloja MIDC area have been discharging toxic gases without proper treatment which has made life miserable of surrounding residents i.e. Kalamboli, Roadpali, Taloja, Kharghar Kamothe, Panvel, Belapur etc. It’s a serious health hazard.

Over the last six months ammonia and other pollutants in the air are rampant and we are experiencing suffocation. Due to this, children and senior citizens are complaining of Air borne diseases like headache, bronchial asthma and allied respiratory diseases.

We, the residents of Kalamboli, Roadpali, Kamothe, Taloja, Kharghar, Panvel and surrounding areas are constrained to keep our doors and windows closed to avoid the toxic air and pungent smell especially during late night and early morning.

We fail to understand the concept of smart city when the city does not have clean air. Clean air is a basic ingredient to sustain human lives.
