Voting has started and I've received a lot of questions on the new road bond. The current road bond does not include extending woodlands parkway and does address many locally needed projects. I wrote a resolution in May asking for a new bond that didn't include extending woodlands parkway, limited resurfacing debt to a maximum of 10 years, included public feedback and prioritizes projects around the near term needs identified in the south county mobility plan. This new bond addressed taking out extending woodlands parkway and limiting debt on resurfacing items but it did not provide an opportunity for public feedback or time to prioritize around near term needs identified. That being said this new bond does address significant needs such as expanding Gosling road and bridge widening, Research Forest widening, intersection improvements along 242 and other improvements. I recommend you research the new bond and form your own opinion.
