Jeff was working as a NJ Forest Fire Service District Warden at a controlled burn at the Round Valley Recreation Area on March 28, 2013. Through a series of tragic events, Jeff was struck and died as a result by a passing motorist along Lebanon-Stanton Road in Clinton Township, Hunterdon County NJ. He was a 6-year veteran of the NJFFS, and a volunteer with the Readington Volunteer Fire Company for the past 21 years. In honor and in memory of Jeff's dedicated service to Readington, Hunterdon County and the State of NJ, we, the undersigned petitioners, request that Lebanon-Stanton Rd be renamed to Jeffrey Scheuerer Memorial Dr. to allow his volunteer service and memory to live on.  Its the volunteer spirit that Jeff showed that is what makes living in Hunterdon County, and this State, a great place to live!
