Reinstate the E. Carroll Joyner Park Stage Cover in the FY 2012-2013 Budget
The Issue
With an all volunteer board and volunteers stretched to the limits to organize events for thousands of residents, we find the inclement weather leaving us in the dark. Damaged equipment, lost funding, frustrated visitors could be a thing of the past with a permanent covering for the stage. The structure would allow performances to continue in the event of light rain or extreme heat. It will also open the possibilities for future sponsor funding and a wider range of programming opportunities for our community.
With endless possibilities in design, initial estimates start at around $120-150K.
