ATC Information Request
Dear friends of the Town of Vermont,
The Town of Vermont has passed a resolution expressing concern with the high-voltage ATC Transmission line that threatens to cut across our community. Please read the letter for more information and sign the letter to show your support for our concerns.

There is a 345 Kv transmission line proposed through the Town of Vermont. I am concerned because it would:
• Damage the environmental importance and beauty of our rural community,
• Decrease real estate value,
• Increase taxes.
Meanwhile, ATC (the American Transmission Company) has:
Not shown the need for more electrical infrastructure. (In fact, thanks to improved efficiencies, electricity use is flat and not growing.)
Not presented alternatives, as they are mandated to do.
Not answered our concerns.
The Town of Vermont has passed a resolution listing concerns with the ATC proposal to ensure our land and money will be utilized for only the best and most necessary purposes.
I support the Town Board in its request for more information.
