We are petitioning for the Plank Road sidewalk in Mineville, New York to be completed from where it currently stops (Champlain Drive) to the end of the road (by Boyea's Deli). The completion of this sidewalk is very important as there is heavy traffic on that road and will allow safer passage for pedestrians. The speed limit there is 40 miles per hour, the shoulder is very narrow and there are many bends in the road. This makes it extremely dangerous for the children and adults that use the road daily for walking, running, riding bikes, with strollers, etc. With the completion of the sidewalk, we will make our town a little bit safer and give our community members easier access to the businesses along the road.
