The residents of Talaga East and the neighboring villages are getting ill due to dust, smoke, noise, and other industrial wastes released by this cement factory situated close to the residential area and the beach. Aside from their deteriorating health condition, the livelihoods of the people are also affected as their livestock and crops could not survive as well. The sea where the village people used to get seafood for consumption and selling has gone red and filthy.

The factory has long been rumored to be out of business soon, but then it still continues its operation despite the increasing number of complaints.

Let us not wait for the already grave situation to get worse. Let us protect the environment and the people of Mabini!
