On October 23, 2018, The Zoning Board Of Appeals in the Town of Islip will decide if a special use permit will be granted to 1 Beaver Dam LLC, so they can operate a Poultry Slaughterhouse. This industrial zoned property is surrounded by residential homes, some as close as 1500 feet. Too many questions and concerns surround this operation including air, ground and water quality contamination, property values decreasing, rodent infestation and more. Please make the right decision for our little hamlet of Islip. This does not belong in our neighborhood.
