Why I started it: My father made a chicken coop for my mother to get her six healthy chickens. She enjoyed taking care of them everyday, and the excitment of the eggs every morning. We were not sure if we could have chickens or not at the time. But one day a cop came by our house and said that we basically have to get rid of our seven chickens(none being roosters) or we will be fined and they will remove them. Now this was very heart breaking for my mother. But my little 10-year old sister is still determined to get the chickens back. They were family to us. And we are not the only ones in Irmo with chickens many people have chickens and treat them as if it was their pet dog.

My Point: That this city took away our seven hens. None of them were roosters. They were kept up with daily, and got more helathy when we raised them. This city took away our animals for no vaild reason. The neighboors even got free eggs!
