Pre-2019 CLIMB presented the Town of Huntington with a plan to expand the trail system at Meadowlark Park, effectively doubling the length of the existing MTB trail loop. While we made significant progress prior to the pandemic, the project has become bogged down in bureaucratic red tape, a change in administrations, and a general misunderstanding of just how popular and beloved Meadowlark Park is to so many mountain bikers and hikers on Long Island. 

Now is the time for us to show our support of this project. Approval would mean a more sustainable, better maintained, cleaner and much larger area of the park would be developed for the enjoyment of the biking and hiking community alike. Not only a benefit to residents, but to the Town & County, as MLP is truly a gem within the CLIMB network of trails, drawing visitors from throughout the region on a daily basis throughout the year. 

The expanded trail will include beginner/intermediate and advanced sections as you can see from the map we've attached. Please show your support and let's make this happen!
