The Issue

On Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, Town Council of Fountain Hills voted 4/3 to approve changes to Fountain Hills’ Zoning Ordinance related to signs.  This ordinance  includes temporary signs, including A-frame or T-frame signs, post and board signs (typical For Sale sign), residential directional signs, and yard signs can no longer be placed in the public right of way.  To view changes click here.

This impacts every single resident in Fountain Hills!  Please consider all of the bulleted points below and take a moment to sign this petition.

  • Real Estate Community will no longer be able to use Open House Directional signs to support the sale of your home.  This will affect your home value in Fountain Hills.
  • Residents will no longer be able to use directional signs for yard sales and garage sales which affects the success of these sales
  • Businesses will no longer be able to place A frame or T frame signs to help residents and tourists locate their businesses.  Businesses are in the recovery process from the pandemic closures and need support, not hinderance for their long term success
  • With the possibility of this negatively affecting Real Estate in Fountain Hills along with the negative affect for business, how will the Town of Fountain Hills retain and attract families and businesses?  How will the Town of Fountain Hills recoup this lost revenue?
  • There was a clear misrepresentation of the greater business/real estate community prior to this meeting and vote, this is your opportunity for the Town of Fountain Hills to hear from you.
