The Town of East Hampton needs to create a Rental Registry to help:

* Prevent illegal housing

* Ensure tenant safety

* Preserve water quality & the environment

* Preserve the quality of life on the East End

* Preserve real estate values

* Preserve the single family residential character of our hamlets
