Discrimination is discrimination whether you are on 2 legs or 4.  Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) is a way to try and control dog attacks/dog bites by banning certain breeds.  Decades into these laws it has been proven that they do nothing to to curb attacks by any breed of dog. 

I do not live in the town of Chatham, but the thought of my dog being banned 20 minutes up the road from where I live in 2015 in insane!  I have friends in Chatham, and I use to work in Chatham.  It is a great town!  

I have heard from friends that it isn't enforced, at least to their knowledge, so my hope is that it won't be a big deal to take the law off the books.  I am starting this petition so that the town knows that the people now know that it exists.  And we want it gone.  And our pits, our staffies, our PETS need it gone.
