For years, Town of Brookhaven residents have suffered trying to find a way to spay and neuter the massive amount of feral cats in need. Residents are inundated with feral cats in there backyards with little to no assistance financially and physically to help get them fixed. Currently, a program is offered but access to the veterinarian is near impossible which limits feral cat caretakers and forces them to watch cats have litter after litter because they cant afford the spay and neuter bills. Rescues are full and at this point depleted of all resources. It is time for change! Our town needs a REAL spay and neuter program for our feral cats! It needs to be FREE, it needs to be easily accessible to residents, it needs to allow for hundreds of cats to be spayed and neutered each year and it needs to happen NOW!
