We need support for Rage Room Long Island to open in Selden! 

After years of hard work, we finally had a chance to meet with the town board members via Zoom and we are hoping to have the support of our wonderful community.

“Rage Rooms” or “break rooms” are a fun new stress relieving activity that would benefit our community as a whole. Instead of purchasing a product that may end up in the landfill or polluting the roads, parks and beaches, consumers would be creating a memory through an experience from beginning to end. Residents will have a place to discard unwanted items that once used and will be recycled accordingly.

The U.S. consumer base is increasingly stressed from the challenges of daily life during these trying times. Therefore, rage rooms are a positive way to healthily address frustration in a safe and controlled environment, or simply just to get moving and have some fun!

What does this experience look like from start to finish? First you are suited up in PPE from head to toe. You choose your weapon of destruction and a robot hands it to you. You then choose your favorite music and enter a designated rage room. A screen will descend and you’ll watch a brief clip that creates the atmosphere of a mission. When the message is complete the lights shift, the music cues up and your time begins. We were most excited when professionals in the medical field reached out and shared that their patients would benefit from an interactive, COVID-safe and fun way to relieve stress.

We have been contacted by News12 and TLC about filming as soon as we open! This would be a great way to revive small businesses sharing the same plaza. Many businesses have felt the financial strain due to the Covid lockdown and restrictions. By having this new attraction, it will draw visitors to our town and bring in much needed revenue.
