Situation: The Clover Lanes Redevelopment Plan calls for the development of 90,000 square ft. of retail space with a large grocery chain as the anchor store on Monroe Avenue & Clover Street. The owner of the lot is attempting to create new entrances on Clover street (adjacent from Shoreham) and Allen’s Creek (adjacent from School House Lane) with a road running parallel to Monroe in order to reroute traffic and force spillover from Monroe.

Why Is this Important? This plan threatens the quality of life for residents in the direct area and all of us in the town of Brighton and Pittsford. It means significant increase in traffic on Monroe which already sees 49,000 cars per day. Most importantly, the potential new road will destroy our residential areas logistically, reduce property values, and ruin our neighborhoods environmentally and aesthetically. 

Goal: This petition calls for the Town of Brighton board to reject the Clover Lanes Redevelopment Plan, ensuring that our neighborhood stay safe and peaceful. It calls for the maximum protection of residential areas truly reinforcing the sense of community and care that the residents of Brighton and Pittsford hold true.
