As was evident during the #StopSainsburysSaveWhitechapel campaign there is a great deal of support for the conservation of the Trinity Green Almshouses. At the Cabinet Meeting today, Tower Hamlets Council members will discuss selling off parts of Trinity Green at auction, which will jeopardise its entire future. In response, The Spitalfields Trust is offering to buy the entire site from the Council, taking on complete responsibility for the maintenance of Trinity Green and providing a sustainable solution to its restoration.
