Dear Supporters, This is likely to be one of the last updates. Do look at the East End preservation Society's Facebook page for the latest proposal for the Spiegelhalter facade here: https://www.facebook.com/EastEndPSociety/photos/a.1420514241517798.1073741830.1413467915555764/1646946505541236/?type=1 Delighted to see the facade will be retained but concerned that the windows are voids. We'd like to see them with sash frames, glazed and with net curtains (to suggest continuing spectral occupation of the site). This may sound whimsical but would, we feel, be a wonderfully evocative gesture towards the story. It would be good also to see the Spiegelhalter name re-instated on the signage (not the Orwellian 'Dept. W'). The developers really should grasp this opportunity.
