The recent Dominican Supreme court decision "TC 0168/13" to strip citizenship from children of Haitian migrants will create a human rights crisis of massive proportions, potentially leaving hundreds of thousands of people stateless and facing mass deportation as well as discrimination.

The Dominican Republic apartheid policies must be met with the same response from the international community that turned South Africa into a pariah state and helped bring about justice for all. Just as Apartheid in South Africa was not just a black African issue, this is not just a Haitian-Dominican issue. This is a human rights issue.
