In an article posted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel yesterday, the City of Wauwatosa doubled down on their on their killing of innocent wildlife, saying, "We (Wauwatosa) don’t have a turkey policy."

Not only was the killing of these turkeys wrong and excessive, but their official website explicitly states that "The City of Wauwatosa does not use turkey traps or other animal control devices on turkeys. We encourage residents to let wildlife, including turkeys, to coexist in our urban landscape."

We must maintain that GOVERNMENT CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO SAY ONE THING AND THEN DO ANOTHER!

Are people expected to then believe other statements on their official website, like, "the City of Wauwatosa is committed to creating a positive environment of equity and inclusion for all of its employees, those who live or work in Wauwatosa and visitors to Wauwatosa",

or that

"Fair housing is an important component of the work Wauwatosa is undertaking to advance equity" - or are these all just the platitudes of a city government that comforts the public by saying one thing while doing another? They must be held to a higher standard.

The City of Wauwatosa needs to admit lack of transparency and wrongdoing in their urban turkey management and detail what steps will be taken to prevent future needless killing of wildlife.
