I'm an 8 year old in the Marble Estates neighborhood. Torrance City is cutting down big trees on our street without asking the home owners. These trees have been around for many years. They provide shades and fresh air to our community. Most of their roots are not damaging the sidewalk. As we all know, there is more harm than benefits when healthy trees are cut down. Our neighborhood has many kids and dogs. If the trees are cut down, when dogs in our neighborhood take their walks, their paws will blister.  Having less shade in the summer will make our street and city hotter. I understand if the dead trees or the ones ruining the sidewalk have to be cut down, but the healthy ones that are not damaging the sidewalks should be kept. Please, help us save these healthy trees.
