Toridoll, (parent company of Marugame Udon, Wok To Walk, Shoryu Ramen, Monster Curry, Boat Noodles, Konas Coffee, TamJai SamGor Mixian, and TamJai Hunnan Mixian and more), is responsible for the cruel and archaic confinement of millions of egg-laying hens in tiny, filthy cages.

These diseased and injured hens are so tightly crammed in small cages, they can’t move or spread their wings. Often, their body parts are caught in the caging, resulting in fractured or broken bones, deformities, and severe feather loss. Some hens, exhausted or unable to move, are trampled to death by their cage mates.

These battery cages are not only cruel to animals, they pose a serious food safety risk to consumers. Hens in these cages are forced to live, breathe, and lay eggs for human consumption while trapped amongst feces and rotting bodies. Eggs from caged hens are up to 25x more likely to contain Salmonella.

Major companies around the world are ditching cages. Global commitments to go cage-free have been made by more than 130 companies around the world, including Burger King, Tim Hortons, KFC, Pizza Hut, Unilever, Nestle, Aldi, InterContinental Hotels, Sodexo, Marriott, Wyndham, Compass Group, Shake Shack, Famous Brands, Costa Coffee, and Barilla. Even low-end fast food and pet food companies are moving away from this horrible practice.

Toridoll says it “will consider from a global perspective and promote practical activities rooted in the community, on the premise of high ethical standards and sincere business activities”. Yet, its use of cruel and outdated battery cages is unethical and fails to meet the new global food safety standard of cage-free eggs. Please sign this petition asking Toridoll to go cage-free.

世界の主要企業がケージを廃止しています。バーガーキング、ティムホートンズ、KFC、ピザハット、ユニリーバ、ネスレ、アルディ、インターコンチネンタルホテル、ソデクソ、マリオット、ウィンダム、コンパスグループ、シェイクシャック、フェイマス・ブランズ、コスタコーヒー、バリラなど世界中の130社以上がケージフリーを公約しました。低価格のファストフードやペットフードの会社でさえ、この残酷な生産方法から脱却しつつあります。
