Save the Circus Fields (Craig y Felin)

Save the Circus Fields (Craig y Felin)
The Issue
To stop the construction of houses on Craig y Felin fields.
One of the few remaining open green spaces in Cwmbran.
Essential to wildlife; the badgers, rabbits, buzzards and foxes but particularly the bats and dormice that rely on area to feed and live.
Steeped in history, even being an airfield during ww1.
Providing open space to exercise and maintain personal well being. This is incredibly important given the impact local lockdowns are currently having on mental health.
Increased risk of flooding which is already an issue in the area.
Pollution is fast becoming a very real danger, with the recent death of 9 year old Ella Kissi-Debrah, from london, being the first person in the world to have pollution listed as a cause of death on her death certificate. You only have to read the latest figures for the area to realise that adding more traffic will be an absolute death sentence to the health of our community.
