Over 25 years ago, Johnny Blast began his career as a professional wrestler. Over the next couple of decades Johnny would wrestle all over the country, focusing primarily on the mid-west and mid-atlantic regions. Having wrestled for nearly every promotion in front of crowds of less than 10 people to in the thousands, he put on a great showing of athleticism day in and day out regardless of the town.

On August 9th 2019 in the small town of Marmet WV, Johnny Blast was set to face off against someone that he had helped along the way in his own career, AIWF World Heavyweight Champion Eric Darkstorm. Working on the much younger Darkstorm's knee for the majority of the match, Blast hit his signature move and put Darkstorm in a half crab to which he would not escape with his championship reign over almost a year intact. Darkstorm tapped out to Johnny Blast, making him for the first time in his storied career, a World Champion. 

All of the boys piled out of the locker room upon realizing what had just happened, and Johnny was showered in praise from the audience to the locker room.

On August 31st at The Sears Center, AEW will be holding their All Out PPV. As is tradition they will be holding a Battle Royale leading into the event. We believe that someone with such a long and succesfull career as Johnny Blast deserves a spot in that Battle Royale, and we would like the gentlemen in charge at All Elite Wrestling to make that happen.
