Thanks to Penarth Daily News we are being kept updated on what little developments there are in this saga It's a total disgrace that PACL have been able to get away with their total mismanagement putting the entire future of the Pavilion in doubt and depriving us of our wonderful cinema. I have been reliably informed now by a number of sources that the reason our cinema suddenly closed was due to PACL not paying the ICO for film hire which meant they would no longer provide films until debt clear! Outrageous that this lot are being protected by the greater and the good in Penarth. Just remember all this when it comes to casting your vote in the local election. All the leaflets coming through my door from candidates claiming to want the best for Penarth yet not one of them has come out and said what they would do to sort out this shambles of an end of pier show PACL has rejected any offers of supporting from Penarth Town Council & the Civic Society and our locally elected politicians seem totally unwilling to engage with us Whilst some may think this is aterrible thing to say the best thing that could happen now is for PACL to fold and the Pavilion closing and then starting again with a new team in charge with the passion skills and drive to succeed. I just hope the rumours that the Heritage Lottery Fund are about to bail PACL out are not true!
