Apologise for giving misleading animal welfare advice that could lead to animal cruelty #BunniesNeedSpace

The Issue

On 15th November 2013, the Telegraph newspaper published an article stating that "hopping space is not essential" for a rabbit's accommodation and that a hutch only needs to be four times the size of the rabbit it houses.

THIS IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE.

Whilst it is widely accepted that rabbits should have at least the space of three "hops" to live in, the Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund have demonstrated that three "hops" from an average sized rabbit covers 6-7 feet - far more than the tiny space suggested in the Telegraph article.

If Telegraph readers trust the content of this article it could lead to hundreds if not thousand of innocent bunnies to be kept in cruel conditions throughout the country. This is why I am asking you to join me in asking the Editor of the Telegraph to apologise for the misleading information in the article and to publish a better informed article giving its readers accurate advice about how to properly care for a rabbit.

Please join me by signing this petition and let's make sure that every bunny in this country has enough space to hop!
