The federal government is doing noting to prevent the demise of our planet and stop the end of humanity. This means it's up to our state governments to make the change themselves. I'm starting with the plea for my home state of Wisconsin to be one of the front runners in making a change. We need to look at the future of our civilization, not the short term financial income of corporations and businesses. Our state needs to make the dramatic flip to green energy in order to prevent further contributions of poisonous gas emissions.

We are the first generation in history facing the true effects of climate change. The Earth's climate is in a state of disarray, yet the federal government does nothing to combat this; they continue to ignore the problem and focus on the profit instead of the people. The fact of the matter is, the earth will be fine, it's the creature living on it that won't survive. We have less than 11 years to fix our ways and start making real positive impacts. 

I'm only eighteen and I can't even think about having a future because I am not even sure if I'll have one.

As previously mentioned,  the federal government is turning a blind eye to the lives of not only our country, but of the lives of all of those on this planet. That is why we need to work on a state level in order to see any kind of change. We have the technology, lets make the difference.
