Like most Australians I was alarmed & shocked at the Sunday Night story "Selling The Farm". As was pointed out there is no register of or even apparent concern about ensuring our food supplies for the future. To sell huge amounts of prime agricultural land to China & other countries, along with the whole chain getting the produce back to their countries is short sighted & reckless. And like most Australians I am also alarmed at the blatant disregard for our land & our Great Barrier Reef regarding the Adani mining project. To trust such a, to put it in an Australian term, "dodgy" operator such as Adani  with our iconic Great Barrier Reef is lunacy as is allowing The Shenhua Coal Mine to go ahead & mine the Breeza Plains which is prime agricultural land. Mr Abbott Australia wants our food resources & land protected for our future. We want a fair go for our farmers & aid given to them so they can stay on their land. We want them to have the right to refuse mining on their land. While investment in Australia is important, It's time to rethink policies & protect our assets to ensure our long term survival, independence & quality of life.
