There are simply not enough off leash dog areas in the south of Sydney.  Creating off leash times at Tonkin Oval Cronulla will give residents a much needed area to exercise their dogs off leash. 

The area is well fenced, has bins available and is not used in the early mornings and at other times like some weekend days, times differ throughout the year. Setting an off leash time when there is no organised sport would not affect anyone who currently uses the cricket oval for sporting activities.
