I am starting a petition because I believe that it is important for businesses to have some type of program (ideally this would be free) to recycle cardboard, paper, plastic, and other re-usable materials. I spoke with the City of Huntsville's sanitation department earlier this month and they flat out said there is no type of program in place like the residential program, RANA, for commercial businesses. 

I believe that the solution to this would be for the City of Huntsville to come up with a similar program like RANA for local businesses in Huntsville. I know my company would love to recycle all that we can but there are currently no free options available. Businesses certainly have more traffic during day to day operations and my guess is that more than likely, they are using more recyclable material than the average American household. This is important to me because I feel as though providing this option for businesses, free of charge, would be a great thing for the city, the environment, and all of the business owners who want to do right by the environment. I would personally volunteer my efforts to help get a program like this up and running for The Rocket City.
