Tomball ISD and other texas schools have a ridiculous dress code. The dress code affects everyone. Girls more than boys. However isn't it  crazy how kids aren’t allowed to wear anything that shows shoulders because I guess they’re too “distracting”. Oh! or how boys can’t have piercings. How girls can’t wear shorts shorter than mid-thigh. but the boys can. How some of these girls wear a metal boots and dog collars, but boys can’t wear hats. How boys can’t have long hair?! In today’s society, everything is sexualized. And honestly, it’s very sad. With changing the dress code that’s more lenient with the students, it could reduce bullying while kids want to wear what the choose. It gives kids a chance to be comfortable while being in class. Tomball ISD it’s time for a change.
