Pennsylvania High School Marching Bands should be allowed to attend and perform
Why this petition matters
As of Friday, July 31st, the Executive Director of the PIAA has stated that high school marching bands are not permitted to attend and perform at varsity football games this fall as a result of mandates from Governor Tom Wolf as they are be defined as spectators. The students work hard throughout the year and currently at camp to support their schools and communities and to showcase their amazing talents. PIMBA has already announced they will not permit the marching bands to host or participate in band festivals and competitions this fall. In addition, local community festivals and parades have been canceled. The only opportunity for our marching bands to perform this fall is at varsity football games. Please show your support by sharing and signing this petition to give marching band member's the recognition they deserve and to capture the media’s attention to this issue.
