Schools of choice are always at the short end of the stick. Whether it be funding, voicing, or expansion of them. Cyber Schools and Online Charter Schools of all kinds are targets of the State Officials and Government personnel. Why? It's simple, they think that the online platform schools are not worth the money. They don't make the same profit from schools of choice than they do in Public and Brick & Mortar type schools. State Representatives are trying to enact bills that could devastate Online Schools in general. Kids of all backgrounds have come to an online school for a reason. Many people have come to online schools for their mental health, family backgrounds, better education, safer environment, etc. If these schools are shut down, it's going to be catastrophic for the students and their families. As Americans, we have rights for choice and with some of these bills, it will be taking them away. Instead of shutting these schools down, we should expand them into other states. Many people are now experiencing that Cyber Schools are efficient and becoming more popular for all grades, including college. Due to the current pandemic, cyber schools are the only thing that is keeping kids in school and progressing in their educational career. People are getting a taste of our everyday life. For this reason and many more, Schools of Choice should stay open, gain funding, and expand into more states.
