I believe that there should be money management classes in high schools. I believe this because most high school students want to learn about this, and they also need to learn how to do basic money-related tasks, such as opening a savings account, or paying a mortgage. 44% of teens reported that stress about money at home affects their school performance. If we just funded a simple, semester-long class, then these students would be able to focus more on their schoolwork, and less on stress at home. What if your child didn't get the education they needed on money management, and ended up broke and in debt? What if they couldn't afford a place to live, or even something as simple as food to eat? A simple solution to this problem is right in front of us: a semester-long class that gives you the basics on spending and saving money.
