McCaleb Morse started this petition to NHTSA

Welcome Registered Importers,

We are very excited to share a movement that has begun between Washington State Representatives, the Energy and Commerce Committee, and the OVSC Division of the NHTSA.

This petition is built to connect more RI's with this movement and therefore connect their state representatives to our movement to help bolster its claims for change. Owners, employees, and dealers should sign this petition. This is a confidential document and anyone who signs will not be named, only represented by your state congressmen or congresswoman.

The majority RI's in Washington State have signed a document and garnered congressional support to push reform at the OVSC level. They have been working with the Energy and Commerce Committee on the following agenda:

- Holding the OVSC division accountable in their service to us as business owners. So that we are treated with respect, clarity, consistency, professionalism.

- Requiring the OVSC division to provide specific guidelines on exactly what is require to satisfy any of their correspondence the first time in a quick and efficient manner.

- Requiring letters of interpretation from chiefs councils office before policy changes are made, informing RI's of policy changes allotting a period to challenge the policy change and a grace period for all of us to adjust to the new policy without receiving thousands of dollars in bond rejections.

- Challenging the 30 day holds value and replacing this with a 10 day hold period.

We are seeing traction, and want to create momentum. Every signature counts!

Please see the attachments below for further reading about the push for CHANGE.

Furthermore, if you have personally been a victim of the OVSC divisions antics and would like to supply a statement we would love to speak with you directly and get you to support where your voice can be heard!
