The students of KSU deserve pass/fail for this school year. Covid-19 has still ran rampant throughout our community and even though vaccinations have helped, it is still very real and has affected many students this year. Pass/Fail would allow students who struggle with online classes, who have dealt with the effects of Covid-19, and those who are just struggling with the severe mental impacts this pandemic has had. Students have expressed how hard this year has been so far, and pass/fail would allow students to feel some relief. Additionally, several classes have gone in-person this semester and students have had no time for adjustment. This has been especially hard for those who have never had, or had a very limited, "traditional" college experience. Kent State University could show that it cares about the well-being of it's students by re-implementing the pass/fail option.
