Rooster was a lively 3 year old Labrador/ German Shorthair Pointer. More importantly our dog Rooster was a loving member of our family, especially to our three children. Rooster provided emotional support for our 10 year son with ADD/ADHD, our 12 year old daughter who battles anxiety and depression and our 13 year old daughter with type 1 diabetes. 

 Rooster was senselessly and illegally shot and killed on 11/6/2021 by a hunter. He is among many other pets who have been viciously taken from their families. He is truly missed by his humans and his K-9 mom, who has become very depressed and like us humans, is forever changed! Sadly the criminals in cases like Rooster's go with little to no punishment meanwhile, the families and pets of whom the act was committed against are left to suffer with no justice served. So our family is fighting to change this! We want to bring more awareness to these heinous acts! Crimes made against families and their pets, their beloved furry family members... deserve more than just an apology or slap on the hand of the person committing these crimes! These people and their criminal acts should be punished more appropriately! This is why our family and other members of our community are urging  the Todd County Attorney Chuck Rasmussen to charge the hunter with felony criminal charges of animal cruelty and/or torture.
