Earlier this year, beloved Humboldt penguin known by Grape-kun captured our hearts when he developed feeling for a cardboard cutout of hit anime Kemono Friends character Hululu.

Sadly, Grape-kun has passed away. During his last moments, the cardboard cut-out he fell in love with was moved from the enclosure to be with the penguin as he passed away. We're glad he could spend his last moments in happiness.

We want the memory of him to live on. We hope to see Grape-kun with his own cardboard cutout placed beside Hululu in the penguin enclosure.
