Ban the Sale of Fireworks in New Zealand

The issue

Every year there are dozens of fires caused by the use of fireworks by the public.  Thousands of animals are terrified.
Countless people are injured.
And all to commemorate an act of terror in another country and another time.

Fireworks are expensive, dangerous and pretty pointless.  The brief enjoyment they provide does not equate to the damage they cause to so many pets and people.

Please sign my petition to have the sale of fireworks to private citizens banned in New Zealand.

Thank you.
