My Dear Friends, The Petition (Supplica) to the Holy Father reached a few more than 3,000 signatures from 57 or 58 countries and will be sent to the Ecclesia Dei Commission. I asked, during the last 2 years, sometimes more than twice, to Vaticanists such as De Mattei, Tornielli, Speciale, Magister etc, to please publish an article, or even a single line, about it. I was solemnly ignored. The same happened in relation to the main traditional media (rorate caeli, fratresinunum, NLM, TV Militant, the Remnant etc) and columnists of big papers such as UK Catholic Herald. On Facebook, the moderator of FSSP page got used to deleting my posts, and when I asked why he told me that “it is not related to the FSSP”. A holy friend told me that some directors of Una Voce International were afraid that the petition would be associated with them, while one other helped. Thanks to all the people that prayed or promoted once or more times. The petition of Prof. De Mattei asking to dismiss Fr. Volpi got around 8,000 signatures in 4 months, the one requesting the “Ecclesia Dei Instruction” had 10,000 supporters in about 4 months. God Bless them all. In 2 years, this Supplica got 3,000 signatures, without even having access to the great traditional catholic media; this is the blogsphere reality. Thank you to those that published it, rare exceptions, as well as those who made a personal effort. All campaigns, military or not, need funding. As this Supplica had little online support and, humanly speaking, I did all that I could to promote it, it will be sent to the Ecclesia Dei Commission and start a new phase. Now it is in the hands of the Holy Spirit. This petition is because, such as Saint Paul (II Cor 11, 24-25), “five times did I receive forty stripes, save one”, seven times I was expelled from a parish for asking for a Latin Mass “get out from the Church”; two times security forces were around me or watching me – once because I mentioned in good faith to the priest “it is a nice altar to have a Latin Mass”; because many times I witnessed the persecution of priests that celebrate the TLM and bishops saying to priests “Stop saying the TLM”; bishops refusing to provide more TLMs; real vocations being barred because they wanted to say the Latin Mass after being ordained; the denial of the expansion of a male branch of Ecclesia Dei communities in communion with Rome – “already have too many priests”; a Roman persecution of the Friars of the Immaculate by the Holy Father’s own heavy hand; bishops and archbishops, that, surprisingly, came to my wife and I after the Papal Blessing to newly wedded couples, in the General Audience, with smiles and open arms to congratulate us for the wedding, and after I said, “we got married in a Traditional Latin Mass,” they treat us as if we were lepers and literally ran, without any more explanation.
